How it works

  1. 1

Connect a unique Alarm Notifier email to your Yale account

Add your uniquely generated Alarm Notifier email address to your Yale Smart Living app and use any password you like. We cannot access your Yale account - we simply read the notification emails when events occur. This preserves your privacy and utilises Yale's email notifications, which are more reliable than push notifications from my experience.

  2. 2

Add your contact details and trusted people

Add your phone number (it can be a mobile number or a landline as well) to the Alarm Notifier and optionally add family members or friends. You control who is notified and when. We'll confirm each number by sending a one-off password via SMS text messages or by phone call.

  3. 3

Choose which events trigger SMS text messages and phone calls

Configure the alerts that matter - for example, receive an immediate call from Alarm Notifier whenever your Yale system triggers an alarm, or have a friend receive an SMS text message when a contact sensor is triggered. Such alerts could be easily missed if they were only emails or push notifications.
